Decisions about who can deliver anesthesia in California are made in Sacramento — not in the operating room. Grassroots is how CRNAs make sure the people in the room have heard from the people doing the work.

Tell Your Representative to Ensure Veterans Have Timely Access to Anesthesia Care!
The Ensuring Veterans Timely Access to Anesthesia Care Act of 2025 has been introduced in Congress! This critical legislation will remove outdated and unnecessary barriers that limit veterans' access to timely anesthesia care in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA).
Ongoing shortages of physician anesthesiologists have led to inefficiencies, higher costs, and delays in care. As CRNAs increasingly provide a greater share of anesthesia care, removing these barriers to care will benefit both veterans and taxpayers. The legislation will align the VHA with the current Defense Health Agency policy that allows both CRNAs and physician anesthesiologists to be autonomous providers of anesthesia, giving VA facilities a choice of anesthesia models, while strengthening safety and transparency within the VHA.
We need your help to urge Congress to support this important legislation. Follow the prompts to be connected with your U.S. Representative, please personalize this email so that it is not seen as a form letter.

More ways to make your voice count
The 2025 passage of AB 876 reaffirmed CRNAs’ long-standing authority to deliver anesthesia care independently — a direct result of CRNAs across the state telling their story to the legislators who represent them. That work is never finished. New proposals, budget fights, and regulatory changes surface every session. A legislator who has met a CRNA from their own district votes differently than one who hasn’t. You are that difference.
Pick any or all of the following options, depending how much time you have. Every one of these moves the needle for California’s CRNAs.
